Letter to Area Hospitals

A project that can be taken on by local auxiliaries is to prepare correspondence which informs hospitals within a community, or those that could be utilized if an injury occurs out on the road, about the difference in the way workers hurt on the railroad are handled under the Federal Employers Liability Act and workers covered under state workers compensation programs.  Coming up with the contact information you will need can be done with a Google or Bing search.

I would encourage auxiliaries to work with the local Division on this project.  The letter can either be sent by the local division or by the local auxiliary, which ever is deemed best in your area.
