Mission

The Auxiliary exists to support the interest and welfare of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) Auxiliary and railroad families, especially the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, and the organizations of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Rail Conference, our members and their families throughout the United States, and our sister auxiliary, the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) Auxiliary in Canada.

 Purpose

The overall purpose of the Auxiliary shall be to provide support and promote issues that effect the health, safety, welfare and quality of life of railroaders and their families, to promote higher education with the families of its full members, to give assistance to widows, widowers, sisters and brothers, when needed, especially during times of duress, and to render assistance whenever and wherever needed to further our mission.

A Grand President Remembered - Sister Lillie Mae Parker left us on June 30, 2010.  Sister Parker served as Grand President of the Grand International Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers for 10 years from 1981 to 1991.  For more information about Sister Parker or services pending, please click here.

Letter to Area Hospitals - With the help of BLET DLC Paul Bovarnick, we have revised a letter used to advise and inform area hospitals as to the difference between how they handle treatment and disclosure for railroaders injured on the job and those who are covered under state workers compensation programs.  Click here for more information.

National Convention - Reno, Nevada.  October 3-7, 2010.  Information pertaining to the upcoming National Auxiliary Convention is contained in this section.  As the convention gets closer, we will continue to update this section with new information, so stay tuned.
